Every week people come to Oakwood for information, encouragement, and assistance. Our goal is to provide a place of comfort, strength and support as we provide assistance and share the hope and love of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
We provide an array of care including:
- Prayer
- Assistance from Caring Missions/Deacon body
- Referrals to Professional Christian Counselors in the community
- Support groups through Celebrate Recovery
- Food vouchers through the Chattanooga Food Bank
- Assistance with furniture/household items through the Ministry of Hope
- Divorce Care
- Financial counseling through Financial Peace
- Pastoral Care

Struggling to pay your utilities? Apply today to meet with the deacons and find out how Caring Missions can assist. Stop by the church office at the Chickamauga campus to complete an application for assistance. Please note: Assistance is for members of Oakwood Baptist Church and for those who are referred by a member of Oakwood Baptist Church.
Food Vouchers
Needing personal care items or food? Oakwood is a food voucher agency for the Chattanooga Food Bank. Vouchers are given Mon.—Thurs, 8am—3pm and are subject to availability.
